Position:                                Heritage Bluff Clubhouse Attendant

Reports To:                           Golf Course Manager/Head Golf Professional

Status:                                    Part Time Class 2                  

FLSA Classification:             Non-Exempt

IMRF:                                      Non-Eligible

 

 

General Statement of Position:

The position is responsible greeting the public and answering questions, processing tee times, memberships and facility reservations, answering phones and handling money transactions.

Qualifications:

High school Diploma or equivalent. Experience in public relations and community interaction. Ability to handle money and keep records in fast paced environment. Computer experience desired.

 

Representative Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains a positive community image for the District.
  • Strives to maintain a positive environment among the District’s organizational divisions.
  • Actively supports the Safety Policy and the District’s established loss control program, including training, safety rules, and developing ideas for the prevention of incidents, while providing a safe environment for Park District staff members and patrons.
  • Answers phones and assign tee times to golfers.
  • Relates to the public in a polite and positive manner.
  • Assists in the coordination of golfers’ time and direction when starter is not present.         
  • Organizes counter area in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Monitors work area for unsafe conditions.
  • Keeps daily records of attendance and revenue information as directed.
  • Maintains clubhouse cleanliness.
  • Records all sales of equipment.

 

Representative Marginal Job Functions:

  • Notifies Golf Course Manager/ Head Golf Professional or Assistant Golf Professional of any needs of supplies and or equipment that needs to be reordered.
  • Performs other duties relating to the position as directed or delegated
  • Attends meetings, training sessions and seminars as assigned
  • Assists other Park District staff members as needed
  • Trash pickup  
  • Snow removal
  • Shop and building cleaning
  • Painting
  • Washing Walls and Floors
  • Cleaning Carpets
  • Janitorial Duties

 

Position Considerations:

  • Will be subject to standing for long periods of time.
